WHAT IS STONEWARE?

Stoneware is a type of ceramic in which the product is fired in very high temperatures and differs from conventional ceramics in many aspects.

Stoneware is healthier.

Since it has a nonporous surface, it doesn’t absorb water or host any bacteria. It is hygienic. It doesn’t involve any heavy metals, it is safe for food contact.

Stoneware is more durable.

Due to its raw material which involves Feldspat, it is more rigid than conventional ceramic. It is resistant against chemical substances. It is also stronger against cracks and scratches. In case of scratch or crack, it doesn’t cause any health issues since it doesn’t involved any harmful ingredient.

Stoneware is sustainable.

Its basic raw material is clay. It doesn’t involve any heavy metals such as lead or cadmium. This makes it both healthy and enviromental friendly. It doesn’t create any hazardous waste and simply doesn’t harm our planet. Since it is produced manually, it uses way less energy and water compared to mass production. It protects our natural resources.
